Getting Started

Begin by submitting a consultation request through our contact form or calling (332) 296-6057. We'll schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs, answer questions, and determine if Olivia Rosenzweig Mental Health Counseling is a good fit for you.

The initial session focuses on understanding your concerns, history, and treatment goals. We'll discuss confidentiality, informed consent, and answer any questions you have about the therapeutic process. This is also an opportunity for you to assess whether the therapeutic relationship feels right for you.

Treatment duration varies based on individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from short-term focused work (3-6 months), while others engage in longer-term therapy (1-2 years or more). We'll regularly assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Current availability changes regularly. Please contact us to inquire about openings for individual therapy, couples therapy, or group therapy. If we're at capacity, we may be able to provide referrals to other qualified clinicians.

Yes. All therapy communications are strictly confidential and protected under HIPAA and New York State law. What you share in therapy stays private and secure. Limited exceptions to confidentiality exist only in situations involving risk of harm to self or others, child or elder abuse, or when disclosure is required by court order. These exceptions are rare and will always be discussed with you. Your privacy and confidentiality are fundamental to the therapeutic process.

Treatment Approach

Research shows that telehealth therapy is as effective as in-person treatment for most concerns, including trauma and compulsive behaviors. Many clients appreciate the privacy, convenience, and accessibility of telehealth. We use secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms to ensure confidentiality.

Treatment integrates multiple evidence-based approaches including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and CSAT methodology. Services & Specializations

A formal disclosure is a structured, clinically supervised session where one partner shares information about sexual behavior history with their partner. This process requires substantial preparation in individual therapy and is only conducted when both partners are therapeutically ready. It's not appropriate for all couples or situations. Learn more about sex addiction therapy and the disclosure process.

Couples therapy is most effective when both partners are also engaged in individual work. If active compulsive behavior is present, individual therapy is typically recommended first to establish a foundation for couples work. We'll assess your situation during the initial consultation.

Yes. We provide specialized support for partners experiencing betrayal trauma following the discovery or disclosure of sex addiction, compulsive sexual behavior, or infidelity. This work focuses on trauma recovery, emotional processing, and decision-making in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
